  • The candidates shall be examined in the following parts of Examinations : a) Written paper I & II, b) Case reporting, c) Oral and practical board I & II, d) Dissertation.
     

  • Each candidate should submit their Dissertation in triplicate at least 2 months before the date of written examinations. The Dissertation will be evaluated by two Examiners separately.
     

  • Written examinations shall consist of Paper I, which will cover Basic Principles & Paper II on Clinical Diagnostic Ultrasonography. Each written paper shall be of 3 hours.

 
 
  • In the Case reporting test candidate is given the clinical details provided by the referring physician together with films taken from three cases. From these he is required to (a) write out the report he would issue in each case, and (b) write any comment on this report that he may think will help the examiner. A pass in this section of the examination is obligatory.
     

  • In oral examination the candidate may be asked on any aspect of the Practice of Diagnostic Ultrasound as detailed in the course and curriculum. Four Examiners in two board will take oral examinations.
     

  • The examination shall be conducted by four Examiners appointed by the University on the recommendation of the Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine & Research.

  • The Examiners shall determine in consultation all details of the examination.
     

  • As soon as possible after the examination, the Institute shall report to the Controller of Examinations for publication of the result. Successful candidates shall be declared to have passed the examination and the results shall be published putting the names of the successful candidates in order of merit.
     

  • Each successful candidate shall be granted a Diploma from the University of Science & Technology Chittagng.
